Styling Trenches

Although the temperatures are currently brisk and you may want to bundle up in your puffy coat , a Trench is one staple and classic coat that lives throughout all seasons.  Whether double breasted or single, a jeans and a t-shirt or a trousers and pumps type of girl, this style coat is versatile and turns the notch up on any fit. It is perfect for layering and not only is available in classic tan, but also other chic colors like blush, navy blue or even green. The key to a perfect trench is all in the shape and making sure the cut flatters your figure, especially because of its structured feminine touch. This is simply one timeless piece that should be in every woman’s wardrobe.

I fell in love with this coat about 3 years ago while shopping in DC’s Georgetown at Zara. This was probably my biggest splurge at the time *$200-Yikes and I contemplated so hard on whether to return it, but here I am years later and still rocking it! I’ve even had people mistake it for a Burberry Trench. *high-five*

I love the minimal details on this coat, from the side gold zippers to the quilted texture on the sleeves which both make up for a perfect trench. I normally pair this coat with work wear whether it is trousers, a midi dress or even a pencil skirt. A good tip is to choose a trench that is just above the knee especially when it comes to wearing shorter length skirts or dresses because it gives a sultry balance. Need more proof that this outerwear will blend in with your wardrobe? I put together two different looks to show the versatility of a trench below.
